Student Web Access via E-Locker

Please read the following information carefully.

Web space is provided via e-locker for students to complete college web based projects. By using this service, you must read and agree to the College Acceptable Use Guidelines.

LAMP is an acronym  for Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP. This host will also serve JavaServer Pages, or JSP files.

In order to use your web space, you must already have a valid SNAP account. SNAP is also an acronym, and stands for Single Network Access Pass. More information on your SNAP account is available at http://snap.cpcc.edu/.

For those of you who require database access, MySQL relational database software is available in this environment. Web-based administration software called phpMyAdmin is provided as a gui front end. Once you have your SNAP account, you may login to phpMyAdmin. NOTE: Before logging into phpMyAdmin the first time or after you change your password in SNAP, please sync your credentials and create your database by accessing phpMyadminSetup.

*** IMPORTANT NOTE ***
If you experience problems logging into phpMyAdmin even after syncing your credentials via phpMyAdminSetup, please delete all lamp.cpcc.edu cookies. This will solve a known issue in phpMyAdmin.

The following instructions should be followed in order to publish to your web space. NOTE: These instructions are different from previous semesters. If you wish to continue to use this service, you must use this new format.

Any folders that you place within your 'lamp' folder on E-Locker will be appended to the url when accessed via http. You should ask your instructor their preferred format for work in your class.
